Nominations sought for new International Recognition Awards!
The International Student and Scholar Office (ISSO), International Student Association and Housing and Residence Life are pleased to announce that there will be a new International Recognition Awards ceremony this semester, to recognize the important role of international students at Towson University. The first International Recognition Awards will be announced during the annual International Festival, which will be held on April 8, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. in Burdick Hall.
We have created three awards to acknowledge international students and the faculty/staff who have contributed to their success:
1. Outstanding Senior Award (student)
2. Towson Diplomat Award (student)
3. Global Samaritan Award (a member of the faculty or staff, outside of International Programs)
Award descriptions and nomination guidelines can be found on the ISSO website at {http://wwwnew.towson.edu/isso/awards.asp}. Please read through the awards and take a moment to nominate an international student or a faculty/staff member. The deadline for applications is Friday, March 31, 2006.
