The Asian Arts and Culture Center invites the University community to a Poetry Reading on Thursday, March 9, 4 p.m. at the Asian Arts Gallery (Center for the Arts Room 2037). Winners of the Poetry Contest will be recognized and awarded. All contestants will be present to read their poems. Everyone is welcome to join this celebratory event.
In preparation for the contest, Towson University students were invited to view the exhibition, ?Abandon and Adhering: International Modern Ink Painting? and compose poems inspired by one, or a group of work, in the exhibition. Jurors of this contest are Carol Quinn and Diane Scharper of the English Department and Michael Stettes, Poetry Editor, GRUB STREET. Winner of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will receive monetary prizes.
