The Port Deposit Food and Wine Festival will be held on Saturday September 8, 2012 from 11am-7pm at Marina Park in Port Deposit, MD.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Northern Map Turtle Project, which is led by TU?s Biology Department. The Northern Map Turtle is a state endangered species in Maryland and lives exclusively in the Susquehanna River and Port Deposit. Faculty, students, and researchers from the Biology Department are studying the turtle and its habitat.
State Line Liquors will be on hand as the wine consultant for the event and there will be food from Laurrapin Grille, Back Fin Blues Bar and Grill, and Dangerously Delicious Pies. Other vendors include Gunpowder Bison Trading Co., C&C Golf Carts, and more. In addition to the food, wine, and vendors, there will be live music, a pizza eating contest, a Victorian costume contest, and a variety of food demonstrations.
