Carol McDavit, soprano, is an alumnus of Towson University and one of the most famous operatic and concert artists in Brazil today. A former student of Dr. Gerald Phillips, Carol has sung with virtually every major opera company and orchestra in Brazil, and has produced more than 10 outstanding CD’s, one of which has won a national award for best classical CD of the year.
Carol will be performing a recital of Brazilian and American songs on Wednesday, March 10 at 8:15 p.m., and a Master Class for Towson voice students the following evening, Thursday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m. Both the Recital and the Master Class are open to the public. Faculty and students are charged a nominal fee for the recital. The performance will take place in the Center for the Arts Building, Howard J. Kaplan Concert Hall.
