Dear Faculty, Staff, Students, and Friends:
When was the last time you had the opportunity to benefit both yourself and your Alma Mater?
Such an opportunity is upon us…
For the past academic year Towson University’s Music Department has had the benefit of using
new Kawai pianos through an ongoing arrangement with Kawai America Corporation and their
agent, Jordan Kitt’s Music. The school received these new pianos last year, and they are now
available for purchase substantially below the manufacturer’s retail prices. New and used pianos
of other brand names, like Steinway & Sons, will also be available.
This arrangement is an answer to our age old problem of having old pianos in constant need of
repair or replacement. We need your assistance to perpetuate this program. A successful selling
event will help the Music Department to continue receiving new piano replacements. This letter
gives you the opportunity to purchase one of these pianos at substantial savings.
All Music Department pianos used in this program will be offered to alumni, faculty, staff and
students at reduced prices before being offered to the general public. All loaned Kawai pianos
have been professionally maintained and will carry the original factory warranty. The selection
includes grand, vertical and digital pianos. Financing and delivery are available.
There are two ways in which to view these selected pianos: at the sale to the general public on
Sunday, August 15, 2004 or at a private showing prior to the sale.
For a priority appointment before the public event begins, call the Department of Music at (410) 296-3172
