“TIDI-Towson International Debate Institute, the summer training camp for the Baltimore Urban Debate League, offers a two-week intensive training to city high school students. This camp is held annually; this is the camps 4th year on the campus of Towson University. This year, there are over 200 debaters actively involved in debate camp.
This Friday, July 9, will be the first debate tournament of the 2004-2005 season. For those of you who have been active judges, you may be missing this activity and the joy of watching the students expand and express their knowledge. If so, please RSVP and join us next Friday for a day of debate.
Our first round of debate will start at 9:30 a.m. We ask judges to arrive by 8:30 a.m to register at the Lecture Hall. If you are new and would like to visit, this is a grand opportunity to do that!
For more information about the debate league, be sure to check out our website: {www.budl.org}
RSVP to us at {diana@budl.org} or {dkerns@towson.edu} and we’ll let you know where to find us on campus during the day this Friday, as there will be debate rounds in over 100 rooms across campus.
The awards celebration at the end of the day will be held in Lecture Hall and should begin about 2:30 p.m.
We hope you will consider joining us for a great celebration and an engaging start to another powerful year of debating.
