The Diverse Sexual Orientation Collective (DSOC) and the LGBT Committee are hosting the Gay, Lesbian, Straight, Education Network (GLSEN) Youth Summit on Saturday, March 6, 2004, 1:00 – 11:00 p.m., in the University Union. The R.E.A.C.H. Summit is a day geared toward creating a safe space for Maryland youth (ages 14-19) to come together for the purpose of education and empowerment regarding LGBTQ issues. The day begins with a keynote address by Maryland State Delegate Richard S. Madaleno, Jr., and continues with three workshop sessions. The Summit will close with a dinner and student dance. This is a day for Maryland youth to connect with others, learn about student organizing, and empower themselves as leaders.
