The Student Day Care Center is hosting a Maryland Public Television Worshop for Parents, Grandparents, Caregivers and anyone who would like to make their viewing time with young children more valuable. Please join us at 3:30 p.m. in Lida Lee Tall’s Auditorium, LLT 201, on Tuesday, June 7. (Child care staff can receive CCA approved certificates for 2 clock hours.) MPT’s workshops are designed to

— inspire active learning in children using accaliamed PBS kids shows like Arthur, Clifford, and Between the Lions
— teach young children how to develop healthy television viewing habits and to think critically about what they see
— help children learn imporant skills and lessons from the characters they know and trust so that they can enter school “ready to learn.”
