TU will not participate in Collegetown Shuttle this year

After careful evaluation, Towson University has decided not to continue participating in the Baltimore Collegetown Shuttle service. Available information indicates that the University has been incurring a cost of between six and twelve dollars for each Towson University rider per ride. Based on the annual expense and low ridership, it has been decided it is not cost effective to participate in the program.

Members of the Towson Community who have been using the Collegetown Shuttle can find alternative transportation through the MTA. The MTA has several bus lines–including the #8 and #11–that serve similar stops found on the Collegetown Shuttle route. Additional information about MTA routes may be obtained from the Commuter Information Board located behind the Ticket Office on the first floor of the University Union.
