April Smith and the Great Picture Show headlines the free First Thursday Concert in West Mt. Vernon Park at 5:30 p.m. June 3.
Come out to see why April’s fans funded her latest record out of their own pockets. This band is a true testament to independent music–and April’s song “Colors” has become one of our favorite songs this season.
John Mancini Band opens the show with their compelling brand of melodic jam-based rock, which earned them top honors in Jamband.com’s New Groove contest in April. The band will perform selections from their 2009 debut JMB, featuring “Don’t Go Easy” and “Buried Alive.”
Join music lovers from around the area for another great night in Mount Vernon.
Just look for the monument and listen for the music!
