WTMD?s Free First Thusdays Concerts in the Park ?May 6

Another season of First Thursdays Concerts in the Park kick off on Thursday, May 6th, in West Mt. Vernon Park as with Goldspot and Can’t Hang.
WTMD brings thousands of music lovers to the Washington Monument for six free shows over the summer. Come see why 70% of listeners believe First Thursdays enhance the quality of life in Baltimrore.

About the Bands:

Siddhartha Khosla creates shimmering, melodic albums as the force behind Goldspot. The band’s 2005 album, Tally of the Yes Men, was a must-hear debut featuring anthems such as “Friday.” And the long-awaited follow-up, And the Elephant is Dancing, includes TMD favorites “Emily” and “Clap Clap,” which was recently featured in iPad ads.

Due to the band’s travel commitments, Goldspot will take the stage at 5:30 p.m.

Can’t Hang closes out the evening with an infectious blend of rock and reggae. The Baltimore Band Block Party alum has honed its live show with ten years of steady touring. The band just released its fifth studio album, Ride the Lightrail, featuring the tracks “95,” “Just for You,” and the head-bobbing instrumental title track.
