Breaking ground for new student housing

Join us at the groundbreaking ceremony for new student housing in West Village on Tuesday, May 1 at 2 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Scheduled to open for fall semester 2008, these two new buildings will house 670 freshman and sophomore students. They will be the first addition to TU housing since Millennium Hall opened in 2000.

In this public-private partnership, Capstone Development Corporation is the developer of the first two new residence halls in West Village at a cost of $36 million. The structures will be built on land owned by Towson University and ground leased to the Maryland Economic Development Corporation (MEDCO), near Towsontown Blvd. and Osler Dr. MEDCO, who will be owner of the project, is a public instrumentality of the State of Maryland which develops property to serve the public interest.
