TU?s Revelry & Rivalry to feature book drive to support literacy efforts

Revelry & Rivalry, a family festival to be presented by Towson University and Baltimore County on Saturday, October 9, will feature a book drive to benefit area after-school and extended daycare programs, classroom libraries and parent resource centers throughout Baltimore County, including the PACT, YMCA and Play Keepers.

Books will also be donated to the Reading Clinic at Towson University, sponsor of the drive.New and gently used books for children, young adults and adults will be collected at the Children?s Spot on TU?s Burdick Field during the Revelry & Rivalry festival from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Books may also be dropped off at the donation site at Johnny Unitas Stadium before the Towson University Homecoming football game.

Prior to Revelry & Rivalry, book donations may be made Monday, October 4 through Friday, October 8, at TU?s Reading Clinic, in the Hawkins Hall, Room 109.
