To promote seatbelt awareness and enhance the safety of the campus community, the Towson University Police Department will conduct two seatbelt checkpoints in mid-May. The checkpoints will be held on Tuesday, May 15, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in parking Lot 11 adjacent to the Union Parking Garage. It will be repeated from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Towsontown Garage. Police officers will check seatbelts usage by the occupants of all vehicles entering those checkpoints. Officers will issue citations for any violations observed during this process.
All motor vehicles entering and exiting the parking lot and garages should be alert and obey the traffic commands given by police officers at these checkpoints.
