TechTalk Receives Nationally Recognized Communication Award

The Office of Technology Services is pleased to announce that TechTalk was honored by the Association of Computing Machinery?s Special Interest Group for University and College Computing Services (ACM SIGUCCS) at its Communication Awards ceremony in Monterey, CA on November 9.

TechTalk is a quarterly e-newsletter that aims to keep Towson University students, faculty and staff up-to-date on campus technology initiatives. It also provides computing tips and advice. View the newsletter at {http://wwwnew.towson.edu/techtalk}.

The ACM SIGUCCS Communication Awards honor the best publications, Web sites and promotional materials produced by university and college centers. They recognize excellence in developing useful and attractive publications. Winning entries are made available to ACM SIGUCCS conference attendees so they can review publications that may help them develop or enhance their own efforts.

TechTalk was awarded second place in Category 2b:
Electronic Computing Newsletter. Individuals recognized at the awards ceremony included: Amie Voith, editor in chief; Steve Johanson, design; Andy Bell, interactive Flash poll; Paul Andrews, programming; Mary Anne Czyz, Gloria Holland and Jeff Schmidt, OTS directors; and David Harnage, former chief information officer.
