During fall semester 2003, Computing and Network Services (CANS) was approved for a weekly service window, Sundays 6 a.m.-noon. CANS will continue to utilize the window on an as-needed basis to perform routine maintenance, testing, upgrades and other check-ups.
The following downtimes will occur this Sunday, Feb. 22:
EXCHANGE SERVICES UNAVAILABLE 8:30-9 A.M.
All Exchange e-mail and calendaring services will be unavailable 8:30-9 a.m., Sunday for routine management of the database on which Exchange relies.
VIRTUAL PRIVATE NETWORK (VPN) SERVICE UNAVAILABLE 8-8:30 A.M.
The university?s Virtual Private Network (VPN) service, which securely connects off-campus users to TU?s network, will be unavailable 8-8:30 a.m., Sunday. CANS will upgrade the VPN software for preventative maintenance to ensure the service continues to run smoothly.
NETWORK SPORADICALLY UNAVAILABLE 9-11 A.M.
All network services will be intermittently unavailable 9-11 a.m., Sunday so technicians can install new network devices for improved connectivity.
