On July 1, 2005, the Towson University Housekeeping contract was officially amended with an increase in services provided at a significant cost savings to the university. The changes to the contract will be phased in during fiscal year 2006. The initial phase will begin in the Administration, 7800 York Road and Enrollment Services Buildings. Announcements will be made prior to each phase of the implementation.
Office cleaning will now be provided by ARAMARK along with routine housekeeping services. There will be a decrease in the number of housekeepers during the day as personnel are moved to other shifts. Housekeeping personnel will be available 24 hours a day to respond to emergencies.
