Friday, June 17 through Sunday, June 19, Towson University will be hosting the Special Olympics. This community-based competition will attract several thousand participants to campus.
In order to accommodate the participants of the event, parking will be restricted in the following areas:
Union Garage
– Faculty/staff area closed for rain plan for Olympic Park on Saturday, June 18
Lot 9
– Perimeter spaces will be unavailable on Wednesday, June 15
– Entire lot will be closed Thursday, June 16 through Monday, June 20
Lot 9 Meters
– UNAVAILABLE Thursday, June 16 through Monday, June 20
Alternative parking on the core campus will be available in the Towsontown Garage and Union Garage.
Lot 13
– CLOSED on Friday, June 17
Lot 19
– CLOSED on Friday, June 17
Lot 20
– Front section will be closed Thursday, June 16 through Monday, June 20
Alternative parking around the stadium will be available in lots 14, 20 and 21.
There will be a run near the Stadium area on Friday, June 17 between 5 and 7 p.m. Police officers will be on duty to help direct traffic.
