Please help us make our 2005 Commencement a successful and joyous occasion for our graduates, their families and friends. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
For Commencement Day, Sunday, May 22, in order to successfully handle the traffic and parking demands associated with the ceremony, we ask that you follow the revised parking and traffic plans outlined below.
Parking & Traffic Information
-Please avoid Cross Campus Drive and Osler Drive between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
-Towson Center Lots ? All Towson Center Lots (13, 14, 19, 20 & 21) are reserved for Commencement use only, and require a special Commencement permit.
-The Union Garage, lot 11 (next to the Union) and Glen Garage parking areas are reserved for Commencement use only, and require a special Commencement permit.
-Lots 23, 24 and 24a ? adjacent to the Administration Building – will be reserved for faculty and staff who will be participating in or working the ceremony. A permit is not required to park in this lot.
-All other lots will be open parking.
Shuttle Information
-Regular shuttle routes will not be in operation.
-Faculty and Employee Shuttle: Lots 23 & 24 (adjacent to the Administration Building) – for faculty participating in and employees working the graduation.
– Pre-Ceremony – A shuttle will operate from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. to transport faculty or employees who are participating in the Commencement. Individuals arriving after this time may ride the shuttle from the Glen Garage stop located on Cross Campus Drive, across from the Administration Building.
– Post-Ceremony Faculty ? Immediately following the ceremony, a dedicated shuttle will be located at the Field House loading dock to transport faculty back to the Administration Building. This shuttle will operate for approximately one half hour after the ceremony. Note: If for some reason a faculty member is unable to ride the dedicated bus, all buses leaving the stadium area will stop at the Glen Garage.
– Post-Ceremony Staff ? A shuttle will continue to run for four hours after the ceremony.
– Graduation Shuttles ? Shuttle buses will begin running at 8 a.m. between Osler Medical Center and all three garages. Buses will continue to operate throughout the ceremony. After the ceremony, buses will be located on both sides of the stadium and operate for approximately one-and-a-half hours after the ceremony.
