In order to help keep students, faculty and staff safe while traveling throughout campus, University Police provides several types of escort services. To request an escort call 410-704-SAFE (7233) from any telephone.

– two student walkers meet you and accompany you to your destination
– student walkers are dressed in highly visible yellow and black jackets and are equipped with radios
– ask the student walkers for their police ID if you are unsure

Ride Van
– offered between the hours of 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 10 p.m. and 2:30 a.m. Thursday through Saturday
– university van operated by student workers

Police Escorts
– reserved for situations in which student escort services are not operating
– police officers or police aides will transport you in a police vehicle to any location on campus
– because emergency and urgent situations can occur at any time requiring an officer?s immediate response, patrons requesting rides must be flexible and plan ahead.

The escort service is provided for safety and security purposes. It is not intended to be a transportation service.
