Effective January 1, 2005, UPS, FedEx and DHL rates will increase by an average of 3 percent, affecting ground, domestic and international rates.
In addition, the United States Postal Service has also announced that postage rates will be increased early 2006. We can only speculate at this time as to the amount of any increase as estimates are running from 6 percent to 14 percent.
The rate case process is a long process and has not yet been filed. We expect the rate case process to take most of calendar year 2005. This holds the potential for actual rate increase notification to come from the USPS rather late into our fiscal year.
