The water and steam outages announced earlier this week in Daily Digest have been postponed for one week. There will be no outages on October 12 and 13.
The water outage will take place beginning at 10 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19 until approximately 2 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20.
This outage is required to tie in new water service to the Power Plant as part of the Power Plant upgrade project. During this outage, there will be no water service to the following buildings:
Newell Dining
Newell Hall
Richmond Hall
Stephens Hall
Van Bokkelen Hall
Power Plant
Portable bathrooms will be located between Richmond and Newell Halls for use during the outage.
The steam outage will begin at 10 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19 until approximately 4 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20. During this outage, there will be no heat or hot water in the following buildings:
Burdick Hall
Cook Library
Dowell Health
Glen Esk
Hawkins Hall
Lecture Hall
Linthicum Hall
Media Center
Prettyman Hall
Psychology
Residence Tower
Scarborough Hall
Smith Hall
University Union
Ward Hall
West Hall
7800 York Rd
Cold water and toilet functions in the buildings listed above will not be affected.
