Towson University Police Provide Rape, Aggression, Defense (RAD) Course

The Towson University Police Department will be offering a Rape, Aggression, Defense (RAD) course for female students and faculty/staff members.

RAD is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques. The RAD system begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance. RAD also teaches hands-on defense training. RAD is dedicated to teaching women defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assault, by utilizing easy, effective and proven self-defense tactics.

The course will be held on Tuesday evenings beginning on October 3 and continuing on Tuesday evenings for the next four consecutive weeks. The classes will be held at the Administration Building from 6-9 p.m. The course is free and open to all female students and faculty/staff members. Register early, as class size is limited.
