To complete the final work on the Oracle database server currently hosting the Blackboard environment, we will need to extend the standard Thursday downtime (2:55 a.m. through 5 a.m.) usually used for full backup of the Blackboard system an additional three hours.
This update is needed to maintain optimal performance on Towson University’s Blackboard environment.
The date of this service outage during spring break was selected to minimize the impact on the faculty and students.
From 2:55 a.m., Thursday, March 23 through 8 a.m., Thursday, March 23, the entire Blackboard system will be unavailable to all faculty, students and staff. Please be sure to complete your work and log off prior to 2:55 a.m. to avoid loss of work or data.
