The Towson University Police Department (TUPD) will hold its monthly Police Community Relations (PCR) meeting on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. on the third floor of the University Union, room 315. The meeting usually lasts for approximately one hour.
The topic for this month?s meeting will be identity theft. The guest speaker at the meeting will be Baltimore County Police Services Officer Deborah Chenoweth. Officer Chenoweth works out of the Economic Crimes Unit of the Baltimore County Police Department.
Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in America. Officer Chenoweth will provide tips that might help prevent you from becoming a victim of this increasing crime. The personal information could be your bank and credit card numbers, social security number, birth date, or even your name, address and telephone number.
The PCR Meeting is an open forum for students and faculty/staff members to discuss any security and safety concerns with the detectives assigned to the Community Crime Reduction Unit of the Towson University Police Department. Light refreshments will be available at the meeting.
