As part of the Musica et Schola Concert Series, Towson graduate and bassist/composer Drew Gress returns to present an evening of his compositions with an ensemble of the world’s most influential improvisers. 7 Black Butterflies features alto/baritone saxophonist Tim Berne, trumpeter Ralph Alessi, pianist Craig Taborn and drummer Tom Rainey. This promises to be an event not to be missed. The Maryland State Arts Council and the Department of Music have generously funded this concert series.
