Amy Weaver’s works are small architectural forms which echo teapots and are inspired by Art Deco design. The driving force behind the illustration of Stephanie Smith is the wonder of storytelling. Her detailed ink linework draws on the long tradition of printed book illustration, combining it with digital coloring techniques and a more contemporary, graphic sensibility. Inspired by ancient tales, classic fables, and flights of pure fantasy, yet grounded in reality, Smith’s tableaus draw the viewer into a particular moment in the life of a character.
