Towson Athletics Marketing Internship: Fall 2008
OVERVIEW:
Towson Athletics Marketing is seeking candidates for its fall marketing internship program. This internship will run concurrently with the fall semester timeline established by Towson University, beginning with the first week of classes and concluding the week prior to finals. However, some work during exam week may be required for completing event work as seen needed by the department.
REQUIREMENTS:
Students performing an internship with Towson Athletics Marketing must be energetic, creative, self-motivated, organized, hard working and reliable. The internship will consist of office hours and gameday event responsibilities. Students are required to work 10-15 hours per week in the office and any additional events/gamedays as assigned. Interns should be prepared to work all 2008 football games and all 2008-09 men’s and women’s basketball games in the first semester.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Each intern will be assigned a sport in which they are responsible for throughout the duration of the 15-week semester (i.e. development and execution of a marketing plan). In addition, each intern will have specific responsibilities for the marketing of the 2008 Towson Tigers Football season and the beginning part of the 2008-09 men’s and women’s basketball seasons.
Interns will be responsible for the distribution of promotional materials in the Towson community, assist in the development of certain promotional materials, help with our corporate partner program, assist in enhancing the fan experience on gamedays, along with any other additional responsibilities as assigned by the athletics staff.
