Information regarding student parking permit sales for 2010-2011 academic year:
– Permits must be purchased online at the parking Web site ? {www.towson.edu/parking}. Click the eParking link. Credit cards accepted online (Visa, MasterCard, Discover).
– Cash or check option is also available online. If you use cash/check as a payment method, you must pick up your permit at the Auxiliary Services Business Office. Please allow 24 hours for processing.
– The annual permit rate is $275 and the semester permit rate is $158.
– Permit sales begin at 12:01 a.m., July 28th for upper class resident students. Please see parking web site for specific information.
– Permit sales begin at 12:01 a.m., August 2nd for commuter and evening students and remaining eligible resident students with 30+ credits.
– Upperclassmen resident waitlist will be available for lots near housing complexes after those permits are sold out. Eligible residents who do not receive a permit for their preferred lot will be assigned to designated lots at Towson Center.
– Freshmen resident students will not be able to purchase a permit or have a vehicle on campus.
– A freshmen resident waitlist is not available for fall 2010.
– Freshmen commuters and non degree students will be assigned to off campus parking at a county garage. See parking web site for details.
– New permits will be valid August 9, 2010.
– The 2009-2010 permits expire on August 31, 2010.
As a reminder, a permit is required to park on campus Monday through Thursday 6 am to 8 pm and on Friday 6 am to 3 pm. If you have purchased your permit but have not received it, you may use your receipt between August 9 and September 3, 2010 as verification you have purchased a permit. The receipt can only be used during these times and only on a vehicle with a plate included on the receipt. All information on the receipt must be clearly visible on the front dash.
