The Counseling Center is again offering a popular Stress Reduction Workshop series beginning March 2, 2005, 5:30 – 6:45 p.m. The series will teach students how to use an ancient meditative practice called ‘mindfulness’ to manage unpleasant emotions and stress by changing the way they relate to their inner world. Martial arts such as (Aikido or Judo) teach students to receive and use the force of an opponent’s blow. Similarly, mindfulness teaches us how we can receive and use the power of so called “negative” emotions to strengthen our self-awareness and enrich our lives. For more information, please call the Counseling Center at 410-704-2512.
