Towson’s eLearning Center (TEC), offered through the Office of Human Resources, now offers a library containing more than 2500 online courses for all Towson staff and faculty, including technology courses. All courses can be taken via the Internet from any computer with Internet access at any time of the day or night. In addition, Towson University’s core competencies focusing on the areas of communication; customer service; diversity; leadership; management and supervision; and financial and technical skills, have been matched to TEC courses, making it easier for employees to concentrate on courses of greater importance and relevance. These competencies and identified courses for each can be viewed and selected by clicking on the “TU Competencies” link on the “Shortcuts” menu bar upon logging into TEC ({http://www.towson.edu/tec}).
NOTE: Instructor-led workshops offered through Human Resources and OTS are not being replaced by the online programs. TEC is only enhancing our current offerings by providing additional workshops for you to partake in, as well as increased flexibility and availability of our programs.
