Parking & Transportation Services congratulates all Towson University 2018 Winter Commencement graduates on their achievement. We will be on-hand to manage the traffic and parking demands associated with each ceremony. Towson University winter commencement activities will take place on Wednesday, December 19 and Thursday, December 20, 2018. There will be two ceremonies on December 19 at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. On December 20, there will be one ceremony at 10:00 a.m. We ask that all graduating students, family, friends, faculty and staff follow the parking and traffic plans outlined below.
Parking & Traffic Information
All Stadium Lots located near the SECU Arena are reserved for commencement use only. A Commencement permit, VIP permit, or an Accessible (handicap) placard/plate is required to gain access to the Stadium Lots. Those working in the area should see their supervisor about obtaining a commencement permit to access the area during these days. Please be aware additional Commencement permits are limited. Those working in the area who have not obtained a Commencement permit will need to park in the Union garage.
There will be absolutely NO drop-offs allowed at the Towson Center and/or SECU Arena. All guests who do not have a Commencement permit should park in the Union Garage. Shuttles will be provided to take guests from Union Garage directly to SECU Arena. Additional parking information is available for graduates in the packet containing their parking permit. Please be advised that balloons and noisemakers are prohibited at SECU Arena during the ceremonies. For more information on SECU Arena safety policies, please see the commencement website.
Please expect heavy traffic throughout the day beginning at 8 a.m.
Suggested Parking Arrival Schedule
Graduation Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. Arrive: 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
Graduation Ceremony: 3:00 p.m. Arrive: 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Those who arrive before parking lots are available may be redirected to Union Garage.
