For the past eight holiday seasons, the Towson University Police Department has worked with St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore to collect new or gently used items for the holidays. St. Vincent de Paul is a leading provider of community services to people suffering from the effects of hunger, homelessness and poverty in Baltimore.
St. Vincent de Paul will accept any size GENTLY USED blankets, sheets, towels, coats, hats and gloves, and NEW Men’s Underwear, and thermal sets for their Beans and Bread shelter.
However, they especially need NEW TWIN XL blankets/sheets, towels, washcloths, and toiletries for Sarah’s Hope, their 24-hour emergency shelter and provider of other support services for homeless women and children.
Let’s give back TOWSON! Can you imagine what a blanket, or sheet, could do for people or families who are literally out in the cold? Or how a few towels, washcloths, and toiletries could benefit homeless women and children at a 24-hour shelter?
We will be collecting items daily until December 21, 2018. Donations can be dropped off at TUPD’s Community Outreach Offices, located on the second floor of the University Union, Room 200F, and the West Village Commons Room 201.
*If offices are closed, please leave your donations at the Information Desks located in the Union and West Village Commons*

The TUPD wishes safe and happy holidays to all!
