TOMORROW at 6:00pm “Eye Level: Poems of Immigration, Rootlessness and Identity,” featuring Jenny Xie

Join us on Thursday, October 25, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm in the College of Liberal Arts, room 3150, for the Towson Literary Reading Series.

Jenny Xie will read from her poetry collection, Eye Level (Graywolf Press, 2018), recipient of the Walt Whitman Award of the Academy of American Poets and the Holmes National Poetry Prize from Princeton University. Xie is also the author of Nowhere to Arrive (Northwestern University Press, 2017), recipient of the Drinking Gourd Chapbook Prize. Her work has appeared in Poetry, New York Times Magazine, New Republic, and Tin House, among other publications. She has been supported by fellowships and grants from Kundiman, Civitella Ranieri Foundation, Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, and Poets & Writers. Born in China and now living in Brooklyn, Xie is on faculty at New York University.

A Q&A and book signing will follow her reading.
