TOWSON UNIVERSITY – Grub Street, TU’s student-produced literary and arts journal, is celebrating the release of its anticipated new collection of short fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry and visual art with a launch party on May 9.
Each year, students in ENGL 414 & 415, Editing the Literary Magazine I & II, seek out the most promising literary and visual art to publish. They review submissions from around the world, copy edit, and proofread final selections while learning about literary citizenship and stewardship.
The launch party is at 6 p.m. on May 9 at Liberal Arts Building, Room 3150. Grub Street Editors and Volume 67 contributors will present short speeches and readings. Free copies of the journal will be available. All are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served.
Grub Street is the proud winner of several design and content awards, including the highest possible honors from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA). The journal is funded by Towson University’s Office of the Provost and the College of Liberal Arts.
