Dr. Jameta N. Barlow, Assistant Professor for Towson University’s Department of Women and Gender Studies, will provide background on Margaret Atwood’s classic dystopian novel The Handmaid’s Tale. Atwood’s work explores themes of power, sexuality, misogyny, individualism, and feminism, and has inspired stage adaptations and a hit TV show. Discussion will follow.
