Join us as we dive in to a presentation and discussion on what being Black at a PWI means! Dr. Danice Brown, Counseling Psychologist and Associate professor, will present on the race-related challenges experienced by Black students such as racial microaggressions, imposter syndrome, and racial battle fatigue. She will also discuss navigating those challenges, their impact on the well-being of Black students, exploring various positive and negative coping strategies, and self-care practices.
Dr. Brown specializes in African American resiliency & mental health, cultural socialization, clinical work with culturally diverse populations, and multicultural competence in psychotherapy.
