OTS Training Tip of the Week

 Use Force Quit on Mac to Terminate a Frozen Program

Did you know there is a Mac equivalent to Ctrl+Alt+Del on PC to close down a frozen application? Follow these steps to quickly and easily terminate unresponsive software.

  1. Move your mouse cursor to the top of the screen to reveal the Mac toolbar.
  2. Click the Apple symbol in the upper left-hand corner.Apple menu with force quit highlighted.
  3. Click Force Quit. This will open up a window to show all your running programs. You can also press Command-Option-Escape to access this window.
  4. Select the program you want to close and then click Force Quit.
