Dr. Niya Werts, Assoc. Prof. in TU’s Dept. of Health Science, and co-curator of the exhibition Asia’s Healing Arts, will lead this workshop in the basics of shiatsu, a form of Japanese bodywork that combines stretches and focused thumb pressure on “acu-points” to help support flexibility, mobility, and pain relief. Performed fully clothed, shiatsu is a family-friendly, anytime, anywhere form of bodywork.
