Free CeCe! is a compelling documentary that chronicles the story of CeCe McDonald, a transwoman who was attacked outside of a bar and then imprisoned for defending herself. The film is produced by Laverne Cox, who will be speaking on campus later in the week of March 12, and it explores the complex interactions between the criminal justice system, race, class and gender identity.
Sponsored by the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice in the College of Liberal Arts, In the Life, and the Center for Student Diversity.
