On or about March 12, 2018, Parking & Transportation Services will be introducing new & exciting enhancements that will make it easier to purchase general visitor parking permits.
The University has partnered with Parkmobile to allow parkers to use a phone app to purchase their visitor parking permit. Customers will be able to use the Parkmobile app to establish an account and purchase electronic parking permits that will be linked to their vehicle license plate. No more need to go to the pay station to buy your permit or go to your car to display the permit.
Customers are not required to use Parkmobile and will still have the option to purchase a permit from a pay station. However, as with Parkmobile, the University will be transitioning paystations to pay-by-plate for those who use cash or credit cards. As with the Parkmobile app, customers will use their license plate to link to their permit. No need to return to your car to put your receipt on your dash.
Department visitors using codes and other specialized permits as noted at pay stations will still be required to purchase the permit at the pay station and display it on the dash.
Implementation of the new systems will begin on or about March 12, 2018 with the West Village Garage. We will continue to transition new locations each week. Please look for posted signs in each location as we make the transition. Below is the expected order for transitioning locations.
- West Village Garage
- Towson Center Lots
- Lots 6 at Health Center, Lot 12 at Center for the Arts and Lot 17 at Enrollment Service
- Glen Garage
- Union Garage
- Towsontown Garage
- Administration Building
As always, please follow the directions of posted signs and staff. For additional information, please visit the Parking & Transportation Services website or phone the office at 410-704-PARK.
