The International Student and Scholar Office (ISSO) is thrilled to welcome new students from Burkina Faso, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Dominica, India, Kenya, South Korea, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Venezuela, Vietnam and Zambia for the Spring 2018 semester. New students took part in orientation activities including a tour of campus and local shopping areas, a luncheon with campus partners, a tutorial on MTA buses and light rail, and a visit to downtown Baltimore.
The ISSO staff was assisted by our International Ambassadors, a select group of domestic and international continuing students who assist fellow students in navigating their new university environment. Their communications began almost two months before the students arrived in the United States through e-mail and social media and will continue throughout the semester.
