As we prepare for the upcoming winter season, Parking & Transportation Services would like to remind the campus community that the following will occur prior to and after forecasted inclement weather:
- On and off campus shuttles will not be in operation while TU is closed due to inclement weather. Every effort will be made to continue shuttle service if the University remains open. However, if road conditions become too dangerous, shuttle service could be discontinued. Riders should monitor TUTigerride for messages and updates.
- When TU closes early due to inclement weather, on and off campus shuttles will remain in operation for one hour after the scheduled closure, provided road conditions are not too hazardous.
- When TU opens late due to inclement weather, on and off campus shuttles will begin operation one hour before the scheduled opening, provided road conditions are not too hazardous.
- Vehicles parked on the roof level of all garages on campus must be moved to lower, covered levels of garages in order to ensure fast and efficient snow removal after inclement weather. Every effort will be made to notify drivers through email and posted signage when areas will be closed. Any vehicle left on garage roofs after the indicated date/time are subject to citation and towing at the owner’s expense.
As always, we depend on and appreciate the understanding and cooperation of the campus community to help us return as quickly as possible to regular parking and shuttle operations. For additional information please visit the University’s Emergency Closing website. Those looking for additional information regarding the shuttles, may also visit the TUTIGERRIDE website or TURIDE app. If the campus is open, you may call 410-704-PARK.
