Please join us for a presentation and discussion of Compulsory: Education and the Dispossession of Youth in a Prison School by Dr. Sabina Vaught and First Strike: Educational Enclosures in Black Los Angeles by Dr. Damien Sojoyner. The authors will give a brief presentation and librarian Eden Parks will lead a discussion on the works. Light refreshments will be served.
This event is in collaboration with the Center for Student Diversity’s author discussion with Drs. Vaught and Sojoyner at 6pm in the University Union Potomac Lounge.
