TODAY – Dr. Wing-Chun Wong Memorial Lecture

The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies in the College of Liberal Arts hosts the Dr. Wing-Chun Wong Memorial Lecture TODAY at 6:00pm in the College of Liberal Arts building, room LA 4310. The talk by Dr. Jill North, Associate Professor of Philosophy at Rutgers University, is entitled “Explaining the Direction of Time: A Puzzle in the Philosophy of Physics.” Dr. North’s research focuses on philosophy of physics (across a range of theories, including statistical mechanics, thermodynamics, relativity, classical mechanics, and quantum mechanics). She includes metaphysics, especially the metaphysics of physics, and philosophy of science.
