When one thinks of Jews during WWII, horrific images of oppressed victims come to mind. We remember that six million Jews were exterminated and more than 11 million people lost their lives. We don’t think about those that were fearless heroes, brave leaders and commanders. Did you know that approximately a million and a half Jews enlisted in the Allied armies? A quarter of a million of these soldiers were killed. This lecture by Dr. Tamar Ketko, who is an Israeli author, teacher, and documentary filmmaker, reveals new points of view of those Jews that signed up to fight. Refreshments will be served.
