To better serve and accommodate the growing campus community, several parking changes are coming. Below are changes that will take affect with the fall 2017 term. Please, carefully read all parking signs to ensure that you are parking in a valid location for your permit type.
- A new visitor paystation has been added to the rear area of Lot 20 located behind the SECU arena, near the walkway to the Softball Field. Please consult a campus map on the website for the exact location.
- For the safety of the campus community and shuttle passengers, there will be strict enforcement of bus slips. Only buses are permitted in slips. Every other vehicle parked or stopped in slips, including TU vehicles, will be subject to citations and towing. In an effort to provide convenient areas to pick-up and drop-off passengers, the department has established “Immediate” Pick-Up/Drop-Off Zones next to the West Village garage and on the access road across from the Health Center and next to the CLA field. Drivers must remain with the vehicle in these areas. There are also free 5-minute parking spaces around campus. Please consult a campus map for more details.
- 22 parking spaces have been added to Lot 20, on the right side of the drive lane.
Please remember to check signs prior to parking. In an effort to help reduce confusion, signs are color coded as outlined below:
- Green border – “Commuter” permits are required during peak times, all permits are valid after 3 p.m.
- Purple border – “Resident” permits (lot specific) are required at ALL times
- Black border – “Overflow” parking. All permits are valid in these areas
- Red border – “Faculty/Staff” permits are required during peak times as posted on signs. After posted times, all permits are valid in these areas.
