Towson 4th of July Parade

Come out and celebrate the 4th of July with Towson University at the annual Towson 4th of July Parade taking place in the heart of “uptown” Towson! There will be plenty to see, giveaways, prizes and lots of activities!

  • 8:30 a.m.4 on the 4th Road Race: 4 mile run/walk stretching from downtown Towson through Towson University before finishing at the grandstands by the Historic Old Courthouse in time for you to join your family and friends to watch the parade. There will also be The 1776 Family Fun Run which is a 1776 foot course designed for younger students and children taking a loop around the Towson Parade route spanning slightly more than a quarter mile.   • 9:30 a.m. – Bike Rush: To join the bike rush at the beginning of the parade, participants should meet in the Towson University lot across from the Marriott Hotel at 9:30 a.m. with your bike ready to roll!
  • 10:30 a.m.Parade start: For a map of the parade route, pictures from previous years and more details about the day’s festivities visit towsonparade.com!
  • Free T-Shirts!! – Towson University will be distributing commemorative 4th of July t-shirts! TU alumni, faculty, staff, students and retirees can pick up their shirts at the TU Tent corner of Washington and Pennsylvania Avenues. All you have to do is share a picture or post about the parade and tag a Towson University Account (FB, Twitter or Instagram). If you are an Alum, you can get a t-shirt by updating your information at the table.
