Towson University Spring Commencement will be held Wednesday, May 24; Thursday, May 25; and Friday, May 26, 2017. There will be a 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. ceremony on each commencement date. In order to successfully manage the traffic and parking demands associated with the ceremony, we ask that you follow the parking and traffic plans outlined below.
Parking & Traffic Information
All Towson Center Lots are reserved for commencement use only. A Commencement permit, VIP permit, or a handicap placard/plate is required to gain access to the Towson Center Lots. Those working in the area should see their supervisor about obtaining a commencement permit to access the area during these days.
There will be absolutely NO drop-offs allowed at the Towson Center and/or Towson Arena. All guests who do not have a Commencement permit should park in the Union Garage. Shuttles will be provided to take guests from the Union Garage directly to the Towson Center. Balloons and noise makers are prohibited at the SECU arena for the ceremonies.
Please expect heavy traffic throughout the day beginning at 8 a.m. For 10am ceremonies, you should arrive between 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. For 3 p.m. ceremonies, you should arrive between 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Those who arrive before the parking lots are available may be redirected to the Union Garage.
