The Office of Technology Services (OTS) is upgrading network equipment in several campus buildings. After many months of preparation, OTS has developed an upgrade plan that will minimize disruption to normal business operations, targeting the summer sessions for most of the work. Each upgrade has been organized to minimize the amount of time that network and desktop VoIP telephone services will be unavailable, but please plan accordingly if your building is affected.
OTS will periodically communicate information concerning these upgrades, updates to building outage schedules and any other information relevant to this work, as soon as the information is available.
The following buildings will be upgraded this summer:
- Hawkins Hall: June 1 (new date)
- Center for the Arts: June 8
- Towson Run: June 15 (new date)
- Smith Hall: June 22
- West Village Commons: July 6
- Johnny Unitas Stadium: July 13
The dates shown are when network and telephone services will be unavailable in each building. OTS will take services offline in the morning and restore them throughout the day. At the end of the day, all services will be restored.
